THE LIVESAYS "thuh le-vah-sees" Billy Livesay: Guitars/Lead vocals • Eddie Zyne: Drums • Jorge Laplume: Bass • Cuqui Berrios: Organ/vocals

Memorable pop/rock tunes, soulful vocals, fresh melodies, catchy hooks, sentimental and thought provoking lyrics, wailing guitars, screaming organ, sultry piano and pounding drums are what you can expect to hear from The Livesays.

"Take 2 pints Springsteen, 1 pint John Mellancamp, add a heaping spoonful of Beatles, a pinch of Stones, a sprinkle of Rod Stewart, a dash of Bruno Mars, beat well, bring to a boil, simmer. That's the recipe for The Livesays."

Bio
The Livesays are an accomplished four-piece rock band fronted by the band’s namesake critically acclaimed singer/songwriter/guitarist Billy Livesay, who spent 12 years performing, recording and touring with E-Streeter Clarence Clemons' band "Temple of Soul." During his 12-year tenure with the beloved “Big Man,” Billy recorded and released "Live in Asbury Park" Volumes I & II at The Stone Pony, the second album which features Springsteen.

Billy Livesay has shared the stage with industry giants including Mickey Thomas (Jefferson Starship), Gerry Beckley (America), Jimi Jamison (Survivor), Steve Augeri (Journey), Mike Reno (Loverboy), Wally Palmer, Davey Jones (The Monkees), Willie Nile, Coz Canler & Dave Petratos (The Romantics), David Jenkins (Pablo Cruise), Brian Howe (Bad Company), Nicko McBrain (Iron Maiden), Wayne Nelson (Little River Band), sax great Phil Kenzie (Al Stewart, Rod Stewart, Eagles), David Pack (Ambrosia), Kelly Keagy & Jack Baldes (Night Ranger), Eddie Money and more. His resume continues to grow.

Billy is a long-time respected performer on the South Florida music scene. His band SLYDER was a favorite among the bands who performed at places like Button South and Sunrise Musical Theatre prior to touring nationally. Slyder was featured in the 2008 Rockumentary movie "Rock and a Hard Place: Another Night at The Agora" with other bands including The Kids with Johnny Depp. You may view movie trailer here: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1207745

Billy is endorsed by Orange Amplifiers and has a publishing deal with Transition Music and Kid Gloves Music. Dozens of his songs have been placed in television shows and in movies, most recently his song "Little Bit of Hurt" appeared in "Promised Land" starring Matt Damon. Billy is also the lead singing guitarist for Tony Stevens' SLOW RiDE Original Foghat who tour internationally, most recently in Canada and California.

Drummer Eddie Zyne, long-time Pearl Drum and Sabian Cymbals endorsee, is no stranger to arenas. Eddie's impressive biography began in 1974 when he landed himself the drumming position with Hall and Oates. Eddie has toured and/or recorded with Todd Rungren, Desmond Child, The Monkees, The Grass Roots, Gary Puckett, “Lonesome Dave” Peverett in Foghat, Tom Dowd, Rick Derringer, and Brian Howe of Bad Company. Eddie’s been with Billy since the inception of The Livesays in '98 and also plays drums in SLOW RiDE.

The Livesays' lineup is rounded out with Jorge Laplume on bass (who was also in Slyder with Billy), and Victor "Cuqui" Berrios on Hammond B-3 organ, both of whom have impressive resumes of their own. Cuqui, who grew up in New York City, offers a touch of the Big Apple to the band with his Hammond B3 and impassioned vocals. Jorge hails from Havana, Cuba; with his latin roots coupled with a steady diet of the rock groups The Who and Free, he delivers a bass sound that is both funky and thunderous.

The combination of these four seasoned pros, with their versatile backgrounds, incomparable harmonies, energy level, and undeniable chemistry, create real magic on stage together and put on one heck of a dynamic live performance.
